Project Description The project includes replacing and increasing capacity at the Village's existing Boyd Road Lift Station (Lift Station #4) and replacing and rerouting the existing discharge force main from the Boyd Road Station. The existing Boyd Road Lift Station is located adjacent to 193 Boyd Road, and will be replaced in the same general location. The existing Boyd Road Lift Station is currently experiencing capacity issues based on current sanitary flows, and there is concern these capacity issues would be amplified by the potential for rapid development undeveloped land upstream of the lift station, particularly near the recently installed interchange at US Route 32 and Bruce Lundsford Way, as well as northwest of the intersection of Brooks-Malott Road and W. Main Street. The existing Boyd Road force main discharges to an existing 8" and 10" gravity sewer on W. Main Street, which flows to the Village's existing Water Treatment Plant Lift Station (Lift Station #2). Both the existing gravity main and Lift Station #2 also currently experience capacity issues and back-ups during high-flow events, largely due to the discharge from the Boyd Road Lift Station. The project will involve replacing and increasing capacity of the Boyd Road Lift Station and force main to meet current and projected future flow requirements. The force main will be rerouted and will discharge directly to the Village's Main Lift Station (Lift Station #1), located on Highmeadow Drive. Rerouting the force main will serve to provide relief to Lift Station #2 and the gravity sewer upstream of Lift Station #2. Scope of Services The Scope of Services to be performed by the selected consultant shall include: 1) Topographic Survey 2) Establishing existing right-of-way, property, and easement lines 3) Detailed Design and Construction Plans a. Plan Submittals to the Village of Mt. Orab at the 60% and 90% design stages 4) Easement Preparation (Legal Descriptions and Pictorial Exhibits), as required 5) Assistance with obtaining necessary permits and applications required to construct the project 6) Construction Bidding Services and Bidding/Contract Document Preparation 7) Construction Administration Services Any questions shall be submitted to Mayor Joe Howser at joe.howser@mtoraboh.us by no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, August 292025 (one week before submittal deadline).
