Renovation of an educational facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
pre-qualify construction trade contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, equipment and tools for Phase 2 of the Polk Hall Renovation project in Raleigh, NC. This renovation to North Carolina State University's Polk Hall aims to address program and facility needs and prepare for coordination with the new neighboring Integrated Sciences building. The renovation includes rework and repair to the existing façade, addition of an interior stairwell, new vertical MEP chases, replacement of elevator, and exterior rework to meet ADA and provide access to new entrance locations. Principal trade contractors are solicited for the following bid packages: BP0400 Façade Restoration | $400,000 BP0500 Structural Steel | $760,000 BP0573 Ornamental Steel | $290,000 BP0622 Millwork | $50,000 BP0710 Waterproofing | $310,000 BP0742 Metal Wall Panels | $340,000 BP0781 Fireproofing & Intumescent Paint | $210,000 BP1420 Elevator | $500,000 BP2721 Telecom | $100,000 BP3100 Sitework | $135,000 BP3212 Pavers | $115,000 Additional packages may be added and deleted by the Owner and Construction Manager. Blum Construction has a long-standing commitment to maximize minority and other HUB participation on all our projects, and we recognize the importance NC State University places on minority and HUB participation. There is an established 20% MWBE participation goal on this project. Historically underutilized and minority business participation is strongly encouraged. If MWBE subcontractors require assistance with bonding or payment terms, please let us know. Blum Construction has the ability to create custom solutions to support a successful project outcome. Examples of Trade Partner Support include quick pay arrangements, modified insurance limits, bonding access or alternative bonding solutions, joint check agreements, prequalification assistance, disaggregation of bid packages, alternate options for financial statements prequalification requirements, break out of materials and equipment to support cash flow.
