Interior renovation of the three barracks and the restoration of the exterior envelope of the Connaught 2 Barracks. The Connaught Barracks buildings stand within the walls of the Saint-Louis Bastion, within the old defence system of Quebec. They are important elements of the military landscape of Quebec City's Upper Town. These buildings are recognized federal heritage buildings because of their historical associations, and their architectural and environmental values. The barracks house the headquarters of 35 Canadian Brigade Group (35 CBG). TIMELINE: This is not a bid solicitation nor a request for proposals. This is an advance notice for a potential contract with anticipated security requirements to provide interested contractors an opportunity to begin the sponsorship process for obtaining (if required) the anticipated security clearance(s). The purpose of this project is to retain the services of a contractor to provide construction management services for the pre-construction and construction phases. Major construction services are expected to include activities such as interior demolition in the presence of hazardous materials, interior renovations, exterior envelope work, electromechanical additions, and structural reinforcement.
