A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Reference Number 0000395366 Bid Intent Optional Bid Intent Deadline 09/10/2025 05:00 PM EDT The City of Colorado Springs dba Mountain Metro Transit (MMT) requests proposals from qualified contractors for the construction of a Customer Service Center located at our Downtown Bus Terminal - 127 E. Kiowa Street, within the lobby. Question Deadline 08/27/2025 at 3:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online No, Questions about the RFP must be emailed in writing and directed to Patty Bailey at the following email address: TransitContracting@coloradosprings.gov. A written response to any inquiry may be provided in the form of an Amendment to the solicitation. The only acceptable method of submitting questions is by email to the Contracting Specialist. Faxes or physical mail delivery are not acceptable. Award of Contract EST November 2025 Notice to Proceed EST November 2025 The performance period for the project detailed in this RFP will be established as 60 days from the issuance of a notice to proceed. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 0.01 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Maintenance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % The City of Colorado Springs dba Mountain Metro Transit (MMT) requests proposals from qualified contractors for the construction of a Customer Service Center located at our Downtown Bus Terminal - 127 E. Kiowa Street, within the lobby. Period of performance for this project is 60 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. SCOPE OF WORK East Wall Construction 1. Contractors will frame standard walls from the existing room corner to existing storefront window mullion, floor to deck and include the following features: a. Furnish and install qty one - 36" standard entry door from the lobby to the customer service center, door will be of steel material and include an electronic locking handle device for security. The door will include one single small vision panel on the handle side and door closer and will be painted bright white. b. Furnish and install qty two ticket service windows with security features to ensure no entry through window openings during non-business hours. Ticket service window will have 1 slider in each and stainless bottom tray to hold change and loose items in place during transactions. A roll up blind shall be provided for each window to pull down when the office is closed. c. Paint standard bright white with vinyl and/or rubber cove base. d. Furnish and install Service counter on the interior (customer service) wall surface from door to window edge at service counter height, built in with 3 drawer base cabinet mounted under service counter to the side of each ticket window area, to include qty one lockable file type drawer. Service counter will require holes to be drilled and include cable management grommets. e. Furnish and install Service counter on the exterior (lobby side) at ADA height and/or with ADA accessible height counter sections at each ticket window. Countertops will be made of durable material designed to withstand heavy traffic. Final material color, grain etc. to be chosen by the MMT project manager. f. Furnish and install Qty two 4 gang electric outlets - one each under counter on the customer service side at ticket window. g. Qty two ethernet drops and plates. one each under counter on the customer service side at ticket window. West Wall Construction 1. Contractors will frame 1/2 wall at approximately 60" from floor to top in front of existing glass windows and will include the following: a. Furnish and install Qty two 36" double door base cabinets to match or compliment service counter material with durable countertop designed to withstand heavy traffic. b. Paint bright white with vinyl or rubber cove base. c. Furnish and install window frost material on the remaining windowpanes above counter/ wall height for privacy but still allow ample light. d. Furnish and Install (1) network drop at end of cabinet section for printer. North Wall Construction 1. Contractors will frame 1/2 walls on either side of the door to approximately 60" from floor to top. a. Paint bright white with vinyl or rubber cove base. b. Furnish and install mini-blinds on the remaining window surfaces and egress door to provide privacy. MISCELLANEOUS PROJECT COMPONENTS 1. Remove and replace existing lighting with warm white LED lighting - inside customer service center area only. 2. Install stain resistant carpet tiles inside customer service center to combat noise; installation over existing tile preferred if acceptable for warranty. 3. Furnish and install mini-split HVAC unit designed to provide ample heating and cooling in the space. 4. Furnish and install new sliding glass storefront door at East Entry - to replace existing door. The City of Colorado Springs reserves the right (a) to reject any or all offers,(b) to waive informalities and minor irregularities in offers received, and/or (c) to accept any portion of an offer if deemed in the best interest of the City of Colorado Springs. Failure of the Offeror to provide in its offer any information requested in the RFP may result in rejection of the offer for non-responsiveness.
