The City of Chesapeake is soliciting bids from qualified bidders to establish an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide Fire Hydrants and their associated parts for the City's Public Utilities Department. To supply the City with Traffic Model Fire hydrants and repair parts. It shall be the responsibility of the prospective bidder to monitor the City's website or above-referenced e-procurement websites for published addenda and to have all addenda signed by an authorized representative of the company. All fully executed addenda must be returned to the City along with the signed bid. The City will NOT accept faxed addenda. The City of Chesapeake does not discriminate against faith based organizations in accordance with Code of Virginia Section 2.2-4343.1 or against any contractor, bidder, or offeror because of race, religion, colour, sex, national origin, age, disability or any other basis prohibited by State law relating to discrimination in employment. The City of Chesapeake is soliciting bids from qualified bidders to establish an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract for the purchase of fire hydrants and their associated parts for the City's Public Utilities Department. Bidders are not required to bid on all items, but may bid on multiple items. Only new and quality materials will be accepted. Fire Hydrants shall be: Mueller Centurion A-421; or Kennedy Guardian K-81-D. No alternates to these specified fire hydrants shall be offered. Question Deadline 08/20/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing through the online Period of Contract: One (1) year years from the effective date with Four (4) one (1) year renewal options, upon mutual written agreement of parties. The City reserves the right to make multiple awards as a result of this solicitation. The award(s) by line-item total will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s), based on PRICING SCHEDULE in (Section 7), and meeting the requirements of the solicitation.
