Question Deadline 08/22/2025 at 5:00 PM PT Online Q&A Yes The City of Sunnyvale is seeking proposals from licensed Engineering firms to provide professional services for design and preparation of bid documents and construction support for the Preventive Maintenance for Various Bridges. The scope of work generally includes preparation of: applications for and supporting documents for Caltrans E76 procurement, preliminary design, design development, bid documents, and bidding/construction support services for Public Works competitive bidding. Ancillary work includes: environmental needs assessment and document preparation (CEQA and NEPA), construction cost estimating, schedule monitoring, preparation of reports and recommendations, and project management. The project is federally funded through Bridge Preventive Maintenance Program (BPMP) for the entire duration of the project (PE, CON & CE) with 20% local match. Consultants must be familiar with the typical processes, procedures, forms, and timelines required of federal-aid projects. Upon selection, consultant will be required to submit applicable forms to document compliance with DBE goals (13%) or good faith efforts. PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project will rehabilitate the decks of 5 bridges within the City of Sunnyvale, 3 of which are shared with the City of Santa Clara. Cost share agreements with City of Santa Clara are in place. City of Sunnyvale will be primarily responsible for communication with City of Santa Clara. The five bridges are to be treated with either a grind and polyester overlay or methacrylate resin treatment based on the latest field inspection completed by Caltrans in 2024.
