Demolition and site work for a stadium in Jay, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the demolition of a stadium; and for site work for a stadium.
As of September 4,2025 Project was awarded to Grand River Excavating with the amount of 44,544.60 Demolition of the old Jay Football Stadium. The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation recently acquired property in Jay, OK known as the football stadium. The stadium is the old public school venue and will serve as future homesites for the community. The site contains a total of 11.6 acres and several improvements. Those improvements are outdated and stand in the locations of future housing and infrastructure. HACN is seeking bids from qualified firms for the demo and proper disposal of structures, fencing, and lighting from the site. Demolition will include all interior fencing, pipe fencing, stadium bleachers with press box, visitor stands, scoreboard, locker room, restroom building, and other small utility buildings as well as other surface and subsurface concrete sidewalks and footings. The demolition will also remove the site/stadium lighting but the light fixtures will be saved for use at another location. Work will be completed according to the Scope of Work, not in scope details, and project Requirements. Work must be completed within 30 working days after issuance of the Purchase Order. Work should begin within two weeks of notification or $100.00 will be charged for liquidated damages to the contractor for each working day of extension over the contract end date. The selected contractor will be responsible for the proper and safe demolition of items listed in the SCOPE as well as the proper disposal of the materials. Safety is paramount as the surrounding neighborhood contains families with children. Proper signage and fencing shall be used during the demolition. Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening.
