Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Haddam, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The work consists of excavation and off-site disposal of approximately 245 cubic yards of contaminated soil, backfilling and compaction, installation of pavement to render soil inaccessible in accordance with the Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations (RSRs). The work also includes, installation of stormwater infrastructure, as well as excavation and grading of areas to be paved. It is anticipated that approximately 12,500 cubic yards of polluted fill material may require off-site disposal as part of grading and utility corridor excavation activities. Questions may be sent via email to ZEO@haddam.org no later than 12pm on August 26, 2025. The bidders will need to include a Bid Bond (5% minimum) with their submissions (along with required performance and payment bonds, once a contractor has been selected). The bid selection will be based upon the lowest responsible and qualified bidder. The Town reserves the right to waive any technical defects in the bids; to reject bids which do not conform to the terms and conditions described in the specifications; to reject any, any part of, or all bids; to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding process; and to accept that bid which the Town deems to be in its best interest, whether or not it is the lowest dollar proposed.
