The purpose of this bid package is to provide the County of Ocean with a contractor(s) who has the ability to successfully complete the tasks required as set forth in the specifications of this project: Replacement of Curb and Sidewalk at Various Locations in Ocean County, Contract 2025, Various Townships The Contractor shall anticipate a winter shutdown period between November 15th and March 1st in their work schedule for this project. There shall be no additional payment for Demobilization/Remobilization resulting from the winter shu Each bid must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Certificate and by a guarantee in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total sum bid, provided such guarantee shall be for no more than twenty thousand ($20,000.00) dollars. The guarantee may be in one of the following forms: cashier's check, certified check or Proposal Bond, or eBond through Surety2000. The guarantee shall be payable to County of Ocean. In the event that a cashier's check or certified check is used, evidence of ability to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in accordance with Subsection 151.03.01 must also accompany each bid; the usual form of Proposal Bond letter from a recognized Bonding Company will be acceptable. The County reserves the right to waive any minor informalities in the bids, and unless otherwise specified by the bidder, to accept any item in the bid, should it be deemed in accordance with applicable law. Question Deadline 08/15/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Before final payment is made, the Contractor shall furnish a Surety Corporation Bond to the County in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the adjusted Contract price on a form acceptable to the County, which bond shall remain in effect for a period of one (1) year from the date of acceptance of the work as surety for the warranties indicated in Subsection 108.21 of the Standard Specifications. This one (1) year period does not apply to the plantings where a two (2) year planting period is required as indicated in Section 811 of the Standard Specifications.
