Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a library in Laval, Quebec. Working plans call for the renovation of a 4,285-square-foot library; for the demolition of a library; for the addition of a 15,715-square-foot, two-story above grade library; and for site work for a library.
Expansion and upgrades and renovations of the municipal Centre Alain-Grandbois to transform it into a Multi-Cultural Municipal Library. The scope of the project includes the construction of an addition that will increase the building area from 1,145 m2 to approximately 2,600 m2, major interior and exterior upgrades and repairs to all building systems. TIMELINE: Working drawings are underway and are prepared by construction packages. Tender for demolition work has been already issued and is followed in the report under CMR ID name Bibliothèque Alain-Grandbois Major Renovation. Start of the structural construction is anticipated in spring 2026.
