Work includes watermain replacement including 6-inch AWWA C900 DR-14 Certa-Lok restrained joint PVC watermain piping, pavement removal and replacement, full height granular backfill, fittings, mechanical restraints, tapping sleeves and valves, line stops, gate valves with valve boxes and lids, fire hydrant assemblies, blowoff assemblies, water service line trimming and/or extending and connection, granular bedding, seed and straw, erosion control, traffic control, flagmen, testing, disinfection, all appurtenances and minor details necessary to make the completed improvements fully operational with the project plans and specifications. The Owner requires the Project to be substantially complete in 90 calendar days from the Construction Start Date as stipulated in the Notice to Proceed. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Sum. The bid security shall be either certified check, cashier's check, bank money order or bid bond issued by surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Missouri. Hereinafter this bid security shall be referred to as the bid bond. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the Owner.
