Renovation of a residential development in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
ATA and Riverview Terrace Generators One bid shall be submitted for all Base Bids and alternates listed on the bid form. The bid submitted shall include all costs of labor, materials and permits for the Work. A. Work included: Provide such field engineering services as are required for proper completion of the Work including, but not necessarily limited to: 1. Establishing and maintaining lines and levels; 2. Structural design of shores, forms and similar items provided by the Contractor as part of his means and methods of construction. B. Related work: 1. Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily limited to, General Conditions, Supplemental Requirements, and Sections in Division 1 of these Specifications. 2. Additional requirements for field engineering also may be described in other Sections of these Specifications. A. A preconstruction conference will be held prior to the start of work. All pertinent parties, including all subcontractors, shall attend and discussion shall include responsibilities, contract terms, supervision, schedules, construction procedures, payments and estimates, and labor requirements. The ENGINEER will record minutes of the meeting and distribute them to all parties involved. A. Progress meetings will be held on a regular basis as established by the ENGINEER for the purpose of reviewing the work progress and construction schedule, reviewing the work performance, discussing work programs, and reviewing new business. Minutes will be prepared and distributed by the ENGINEER. A. Submit Shop Drawings, Product Data and Samples, including color chips and any other data required by the Contract Documents. Contractor shall also submit a list of subcontractors and material suppliers in accordance with the General Condition of the Contract for construction. B. Related requirements are included in the General Conditions, Section in Division 1 and other pertinent Section of these Specifications. A. Each Contractor and subcontractor shall lay out his own work and cooperate with each other to avoid interference and to secure fit. Where layout drawings are necessary, they shall be prepared by the Contractor at his own expense. B. The available areas allocated for rooms or other spaces shown on the Architect's drawings may not be sufficient to allow installation of every manufacturer's equipment of the required type which generally con-forms with the specifications. It shall constitute sufficient reason for rejection if, in the opinion of the Architect, the equipment submitted for approval does not fit the available space allowing adequate room and clearance for piping, conduit, duct work, associated equipment, aisles, inspection and maintenance. Any modifications to the building, other structures or other equipment necessitated by the equipment furnished by the Contractor shall be at no additional cost to the Owner. A. Work included: Provide a detailed breakdown of the agreed Contract Sum showing values allocated to each of the various parts of the work, as specified herein and in other provisions of the Contract Documents. B. Related work: 1. Documents affecting work of this section include, but are not necessarily limited to, General Conditions and Section in Division 1 of these Specifications. 2. Schedule of values is required under the General Conditions. 3. Schedule of values is required to be compatible with the "continuation sheet" accompanying applications for payment. A. Material and Equipment incorporated in the Work shall: 1. Conform to applicable specifications and standards. 2. Comply with size, make, type and quality specified, or asspecifically approved in writing by the Architect. 3. Manufactured and Fabricated Products: a. Design, fabricate and assemble in accord with the best engineering and shop practices. b. Manufacture like parts of duplicate units to standard sizes and gauges, to be interchangeable. c. Two or more items of the same kind shall be identical, by the same manufacturer. d. Products shall be suitable for service conditions. e. Equipment capacities, sizes and dimensionsshown orspecified shall be adhered to unless variations are specifically approved in writing. 4. Do not use material or equipment for any purpose other than that for which it is designed or is specified. B. Related work: 1. Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily limited to, General Conditions, Section in Divisions 1, 2 and 3 of these Specifications. A. Work included: Provide an orderly and efficient transfer of the complete Work to the Owner. B. Related work: 1. Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily limited to, General Conditions and Sections of Division 1 of these Specifications. 2. Activities relative to Contract closeout are described in, but not necessarily limited to, the General Conditions. 3. "Substantial Completion" is defined in the General Conditions. A. Work included: Throughout the construction period, maintain the buildings and site in a standard of cleanliness as described in this Section. B. Related work: Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily limited to, General Conditions and Sections of Division 1 of these Specifications. C. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: At all times and in all places make sure no items, materials, equipment, tools or supplies are left in such a way as to create a tripping or other hazard to the residents. A. Work included: 1. Throughout progress of the Work, maintain at the job site field office an accurate record of changes in the Contract Documents. 2. Upon completion of the Work, transfer the recorded changes to a set of dated Final Project Record Documents, and submit with closeout submittals. B. Related work: 1. Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily limited to, General Conditions and Sections of Division 1 of these Specifications.
