The Work is generally described as follows: Furnish and install an 8-inch water meter in an existing underground vault, including piping, fittings, and valves to connect to an active water main. A certified check or bank draft, payable to Waterford Township, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to 10% of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Prevailing wages will apply if the contract price exceeds $25,000. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids and Bid Security may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
