Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows: Water System Improvements including construction of approximately 10,700 lineal feet of 6-inch water main replacements, and all related appurtenances, along the following segments within the southern portion of the corporate limits of the Village of Thayer in Sangamon County: Roosevelt Avenue, from Elm to Main Streets; Elm Street, from Illinois Route 4 to Cleveland Avenue; Washington and Polk Avenues, from Elm to Ebony Streets; Van Buren Avenue, from Ebony to Sycamore Streets; Tyler Avenue, from Elm to Main Streets; Main Street, from Illinois Route 4 to east of Washington Avenue; Harrison and Washington Avenues, from Main to Sycamore Streets; and Sycamore Street, from Illinois Route 4 to East Main Street. All questions of a technical nature regarding the project will only be answered in writing by Addendum. Questions should be submitted to the Engineer no later than five (5) working days prior to the bid date A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Village of Thayer, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The Village of Thayer reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. A.
