Renovation of a municipal facility in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
.1 The scope of this project is to provide additional circuits of power to the courtrooms, provide pathways, install and label low voltage cables supplied by the province. These pathways shall be new and not disturb existing cabling. Once the cabling is in place the Provinces AV contractor shall install the new Video Conferencing Expansion. Once complete the Electrical Contractor will remove the old AV cabling systems. .2 Submit shop drawings, product data and samples as specified, indicating details of construction, dimensions, capacities, weights and electrical performance characteristics of equipment and materials. .3 Install conduit concealed in walls, floors, ceilings, above suspended ceilings and underground. Surface mounted wire-mold is unacceptable. .4 Install all onsite cabling as per specified locations as shown on supplied drawings, cable pull schedule and specification. .5 Install all required customer provided cabling as necessary between field locations and head end locations. .6 Provide shop drawings of proposed under carpet cable floor raceway system (ADA compliant) for approval, prior to installation. Connectrac is the preferred option. .7 All conduit work and junction boxes as required shall be the responsibility of the electrical contractor. .8 Install all necessary mounting hardware, wall plates, back boxes, junction boxes, conduit and connectors to ensure a complete and fully operational end product. .9 Provide necessary structural backing for displays, racks and monitors. Confirm exact locations with CTS and Accommodations. .10 Work with the Province arrange for delivery of the provided low voltage and CAT6A network wire and cable. Electrical contractor to procure and install all power cable. The Province provided cable run table shall be reviewed to determine cable type and manufacturer. .11 Electrical contractor shall provide continuity test report for all new low voltage cabling to the Province. .12 All Belden cables shall be installed and certified by a Belden certified installer. Electrical contractor shall provide a 25-year warranty letter from Belden certifying the installed structured cabling. .13 Electrical contractor shall clearly identify and label existing panel schedules with new circuits. .14 Upon installation and commissioning of the new Video conferencing equipment (by others), Electrical contractor will be required to remove, end to end, all obsolete and previously used A/V cabling and wires. .15 Electrical Contractor shall not interfere with the operations of the facility. This is a courthouse and contractor shall work within and accommodate the courthouse schedule. .16 Contractor must carry out all installation and related work in a presentable and aesthetically acceptable manner. .17 Contractor shall provide a proposed work schedule to be coordinated and approved by AB Infrastructure and the Provincial Court schedulers. .18 Contractor shall liaise with GOA Court Technology Services, Province and Court Operations for mobilization and scheduling of cabling infrastructure installation. .19 Contractor shall include all labour and material, expertise and subcontractors required to complete the scope of work described herein and in the attached drawing and specifications. .20 At regular intervals during the progress of work, clean-up worksite and building premises and dispose of waste, rubbish, and debris. When working after normal work hours, ensure facility is return to clean and acceptable condition before 7 a.m. .21 Do not allow waste material, rubbish, and debris to accumulate and become an unsightly or hazardous condition. Maintain site in a clean and orderly condition. .22 Contractor shall allow for costs to provide Fire Alarm bypass for OSID sensors (and other fire alarm related systems) and fire watch when fire alarm is bypassed. .23 Work to be completed is not limited to the above description. Complete work as stated in the attached drawing specification. .24 Contractor shall concurrently work on a minimum of one Courtroom at Grande Prairie and one at Peace River.
