Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bedford Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of earth excavation; concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement; sidewalk removal and replacement; construction of concrete driveways; construction of hot-mix asphalt driveways; structure adjustments; parkway restoration, pavement markings, and all appurtenant construction. Only qualified Contractors who can furnish satisfactory proofthat they have performed work ofsimilar nature as Contractors will be entitled to receive Plans and submit Proposals. In order to meet this requirement, at the request ofthe Engineer, bidders will be required to submit a "Statement ofExperience" consisting of a list of previous projects ofsimilar nature in order to receive Plans. The Owner reserves the right to issue Bid Documents only to those Contractors deemed qualified. All Proposals must be accompanied by a Bank Cashier's Check, Bank Draft, Certified Check, or Bid Bond for not less than five percent (5%) ofthe total amount ofthe Bid, or as provided in the applicable sections ofthe "Standard Specifications" No Bid may be withdrawn after opening of Proposals without the consent ofthe Owner for a period ofsixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening ofBids.
