Renovation of a museum in Tyler, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
Sealed bids will be for furnishing all necessary materials, equipment, superintendence and labor for construction of the following improvement. Please Note: In accordance with House Bill 1295, for certain contracts entered into on or after January 1, 2016, the successful bidder must submit a Certificate of Interested Parties (Form 1295) at the time the signed contract is submitted to the City. See Section 19, "Certificates of Interested Parties". . Please Note: All Insurance and bonding provisions requested by the City of Tyler and provided with contract documents are required to execute the contract for this project The project includes; Historic Gutter replacement/repair and roof repair per specification at Carnagie (SCHS) Building, 215 S. College, Tyler TX. 75702 The work included in this contract for this project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, plant, supplies services, equipment transportation, superintendence, temporary construction and appliances required in conjunction with or properly incidental to the work, as shown and described in the drawings and specifications for Gutter, Roof Deck and Chimney Repair: Carnegie Museum. All work shall be performed in conformance with the plans and specifications dated August 6, 2025 addenda thereto, and any change orders that may be issued. 1. Remove existing gutters and downspouts. 2. Supply, fabricate and install new gutters to match existing (2 story) 3. Supply, fabricate and install new downspouts to match existing. 4. Price includes: paint grip metal, revels and caulk. 5. Paint all metal new. 6. See Section 024100-1.01 Summary 7. An asbestos test on the area will have to be done once scaffolding is set up or a lift is retained for the job and is on site. 8. Once the means to get up to the roof is available, we will need to have the underlayment exposed and tests executed. The tests will take approximately 4 hours - If the underlayment contains ACM, 48 hours will be needed for abatement. 9. If it does not contain ACM, we can just move along. 10. Please allot for the time and exposure of the roof to be open and temporary waterproofing thereof.
