Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % The scope of work for this project includes the complete replacement of the existing 20-inch Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) water main along Dade Blvd. (between N Michigan Ave and 23rd St) and the replacement of the existing 20-inch DIP water main and the existing 8-inch gravity sewer pipe along 19th St.(between Alton Rd. and N Michigan Ave). The scope also includes a design alternative to cover the full roadway restoration cost in lieu of area trench restoration along Dade Blvd from 17th Street to 23rd Street. The construction scope includes the milling,resurfacing and roadway base restoration. 20223498-00 The Contractor shall supply all labor, transportation, materials, machinery, tools, apparatus and equipment necessary for the entire proper and substantial completion of his work, and be accountable for the safe, proper and reasonable construction, maintenance and use of the same during construction, and shall remove all construction equipment upon completion, and shall perform all work in the best and most workmanlike manner. Special care shall be taken by the Contractor in placing and removing stockpiles of material, and in the work in general to avoid unnecessary injury to either public property or other areas adjacent to the work. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, plant, power, light, heat, fuel, water, tools, appliances, equipment, supplies, shop drawings, working drawings and other means of construction necessary or proper for performing and completing the work. He shall obtain and pay for all required permits necessary for the work, other than those permits such as the FDEP/DERMRER permit which may have already been obtained. He shall perform and complete the work in the manner best calculated to promote rapid construction consistent with safety of life and property and to the satisfaction of the Engineer, and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall clean up the work and maintain it during and after construction, until accepted, and shall do all work and pay all costs incidental thereto. He shall repair or restore all structures and property that may be damaged or disturbed during performance of the work.
