Site work and paving for a road / highway in Sonoma, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
In general, the work includes pavement rehabilitation and repair of localized failures with striping and signage improvements at locations along West Spain Street. Work includes asphalt pavement grinding, digout and repair of localized asphalt pavement failures, hot mix asphalt overlay, paving mat, removal and replacement of pavement striping and markings, roadway signs, protection and adjustment of existing utility structures, traffic control, water pollution control and other related work as set forth on the project Plans and Specifications. Questions will be accepted via e-mail only to: Matt Wargula, City Engineer, at matt.wargula@ghd.com with copy to Ashley Cotter, Public Works Administrative and Project Manager (acotter@sonomacity.org). Technical questions will not be accepted after 2:00 pm, Friday, August 29, 2025. THIRTY (30) WORKING DAYS will be allowed for the completion of all work under the contract. A bid shall not be accepted nor any contract or subcontract entered into without proof of the contractor or subcontractor's current registration to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. [Cal. Labor Code sec. 1771.4(a)(1)] The Contractor shall be required to provide a payment bond for this project. [Cal. Civ. Code section 9550(b)] Bidders must hold a Class A Contractor's license under the laws of the State of California. Bidder's security will be required as provided in the Contract Documents. No Bidder may withdraw his bid after the time fixed for the opening thereof. The successful Bidder and all subcontractors will be required to secure a City of Sonoma business license before commencing work on this project. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any defects or irregularity in the bidding.
