Reference Number 0000395696 The City of Westminster, hereinafter referred to as the City, is inviting qualified contractors to submit bids for the construction of Eaton Street Medians. This project involves comprehensive improvements to the medians in the center of Eaton Street, from 89th Avenue north to 91st Place, including irrigation systems, soil preparation, and landscaping as specified in the attached plans. A CDPHE State Stormwater permit will be required under the larger common plan of development regulations. 4. The Contractor will be responsible for providing an approved Right of Way closure plan to obtain a work permit and installing pedestrian detour signage during the project. It is anticipated that the newly completed Benton Street can be used as a detour to Eaton Street, allowing closure of one side at various times. 5. Contractors shall load excess soils, haul, and dispose of off-site. The contractor shall then grade and amend soils as specified on the project plans to achieve the final grades shown on the drawings, blend to existing surrounds, and remove all oversized rock per specifications. 6. Contractors shall install a new irrigation system as designed, and install new rrigation taps as shown on the plans. 7. The Contractor shall install a new electrical system and new controllers. In addition, connect to the existing Downtown controllers as may be shown on the plans. 8. The Contractor shall submit complete plant lists, matching the project plan specifications for City approval at least 14 calendar days before scheduled installation. 9. No substitutions to material purchased shall be made without approval of by the Project Manager. 10. All materials shall be submitted for approval before being brought to site. Any materials off loaded and rejected shall be removed from the project at no cost to the City. 11. All trees shall be tagged and inspected and signed off by City staff at the nursery. 12. All planting locations shall be staked for the City approval a minimum of 48 hours prior to bringing plants onto the site. 13. The contractor shall provide a warranty for all materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of final acceptance by the Project Manager. Contractor shall replace any failed plant materials or irrigation components at no additional cost to the City. 14. The City will hold a %5 Retainage payment, until work is verified and completed.
