Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a two-story above grade, 304-seat educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; day care center; and swimming pool.
Question Deadline: Thu Sep 11, 2025 12:00 PM (EDT) The Professional Services Provider shall start the project as soon as possible when the contract is awarded. The successful Professional Services Provider shall submit a project schedule to the Board immediately upon award of the Contract. Tender document delivery by January 2028. The school is currently housed in the former Eastern Commerce building at 16 Phin Ave (the site). The existing building will be demolished to allow for the construction of a new multi-purpose facility that reflects the Indigenous identity of the school. School operations will be relocated to a temporary site prior to the start of the demolition. The school will accommodate 304 students, K-12 as the first phase of the development. Future phases to accommodate the Urban Indigenous Education Centre, a swimming pool and expanded school are to be considered as part of the initial site planning. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals (RFP) for design services has been issued by the owner. Further update upon award of the RFP. *Construction cost has yet to be finalized.
