A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** This project includes site improvements at the City of Mount Vernon's existing service garage located at 1700 Old Delaware RD, including a salt storage bam with electric and water service, asphalt and concrete driveway extensions, drainage ditches, stormwater infrastructure, and an infiltration basin, as indicated in the drawings and specifications. The bid price for this item shall include all labor, materials and equipment required for the design, permitting and construction of the proposed salt bar in accordance with the plans and the criteria provided by the city of Mount Vernon, and deviations from the plans and / or the criteria provided by the city of Mount Vernon shall be approved in writing by the city engineer prior to construction. The following criteria shall apply to the structure unless otherwise approved by the city engineer: 1. the structure shall be roughly 72-FT wide by 128-FT long, fully enclosed, with a single opening at each end, as shown in the plans. 2. One of the openings shall have a minimum clearance height of 30 FT. The other opening shall be no less than 15_FT and no more than 20-FT high. 3. Walls shall be pre-cast Portland cement concrete T-panels with a Minimum height of 12FT. 4. A divider wall shall be provided between the open ends of the structure, as shown on the plans, to separate salt storage from other material storage. 5. The foundations of the structure shall be independent from and exterior to the walls, at to ensure their full enclosure. 6. The interior of the structure shall have an 8-IN portland cement concrete floor with integral sealant and a smooth finish. 7. All concrete within the structure shall be treated with a corrosion-inhibiting admixture approved by the engineer. 8. The structure frame, all structural anchors and all fasteners, shall be hot-dipped galvanized steel. 9. The structure shall include interior and exterior lighting controllable from within the structure. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing state approved, stamped, engineered drawings of the salt barn including the foundation.
