Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Minooka, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of October 6, 2025, project is awarded to P.T. Ferro Construction Co., in the amount of $10,400,058.22. The work consists of pavement resurfacing, widening, and reconstruction with hot-mix asphalt (HMA), curb and gutter, sidewalk, enclosed storm sewer system, landscaping, retaining wall, traffic signals, ITS upgrades, street lighting, and other miscellaneous items. The work to be performed under this contract includes roadway widening and reconstruction with HMA pavement, sidewalk, guardrail removal and installation, proposed storm sewer, proposed soldier pile retaining wall, traffic signal modernization, street lighting, signing, pavement markings and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans and as described herein. The project includes the following structures: 1. Proposed soldier pile retaining wall located along the west from Sta 158+50 to Sta 161+05 This work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the installation of section corner and 1/4 section corner markers encountered within the project limits at locations shown on the plans and as directed by the Engineer. The present marker(s) will be disturbed by the construction work under this contract. All of this work shall be in accordance with IDFPR Section 1270 Appendix A (Rules for the Perpetuation of Monuments Under the Land Survey Monuments Act) and The Land Survey Monuments Act (765 ILCS 220) Monument. This work shall consist of constructing a temporary pavement at the locations shown on the plans or as directed by the engineer. This work shall consist of furnishing and installing a manhole with restrictor plate with frames and lids as shown on the plans or as otherwise directed by the Engineer. This work shall include the precast manhole, flat top, steps, frames and lids, adjusting rings (if necessary), galvanized restrictor plate with orifice, galvanized hardware, and frames and lids. This work shall consist of furnishing and installing steel rail with rail posts, including anchorage to top of retaining wall according to the applicable articles of Section 509 of the Standard Specifications and as shown on the plans. This item shall consist of all material and labor required to extend, connect or modify the electric services, as indicated or specified, which is over and above the work performed by the utility. Unless otherwise indicated, the cost for the utility work, if any, will be reimbursed to the Contractor separately under ELECTRIC UTILITY SERVICE CONNECTION. This item may apply to the work at more than one service location and each will be paid separately This work shall consist of furnishing and installing a roadway LED luminaire as shown on the plans, as specified herein. This work shall consist of re-optimizing a traffic signal system according to the following Levels of work. LEVEL I applies when improvements are made to an existing signalized intersection within an existing traffic signal system. The purpose of this work is to integrate the improvements to the subject intersection into the signal system while minimizing the impacts to the existing system operation. This type of work would be commonly associated with the addition of signal phases, pedestrian phases, or improvements that do not affect the capacity at an intersection. LEVEL II applies when improvements are made to an existing signalized intersection within an existing traffic signal system and detailed analysis of the intersection operation is desired by the engineer, or when a new signalized or existing signalized intersection is being added to an existing system, but optimization of the entire system is not required. The purpose of this work is to optimize the subject intersection, while integrating it into the existing signal system with limited impact to the system operations. This item also includes an evaluation of the overall system operation, including the Traffic Responsive Program (TRP). For the purposes of re-optimization work, an intersection shall include all traffic movements operated by the subject controller and cabinet. This work shall consist of all materials and labor required to install, modify, or extend the electric service installation. All installations shall meet the requirements of the "District One Standard Traffic Signal Design Details".
