Purchase, Installation & Implementation of a New IBM DS8910F Enterprise Storage System The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Town of Babylon encourages minority and women owned businesses to participate in all bids. DATE OF AWARD through August 31, 2026. This contract may be extended for two (2) additional one (1) year periods upon mutual consent of the Commissioner of General Services and the successful bidder(s). The intent of these specifications is to have the Town of Babylon's existing IBM DS6800 storage system with a new IBM System Storage DS8910F Enterprise Storage System. This includes purchase of a new IBM DS8910F or equal Storage system, implementation and support. The successful bidder shall be responsible to remove the existing system from the existing daa rack and completely install a new system. Bidder is responsible to supply all necessary components to ensure a seamless installation. The equipment will be installed at the Town of Babylon IT room located on the 2nd floor of Babylon Town Hall, 200 East Sunrise Highway, Lindenhurst, NY 11757. Installation shall include: DS8910F Installation and Cabling DS8910F Logical Configuration Implement Data at Rest Disk Encryption Copy Services Manager Installation & Configuration Support/Run Data Migration from Existing DS6800 to DS8910F Storage System Support Production Cutover to DS8910F Setup Safeguarded Copy Configuration Assist with Project Management of the entire installation and implementation project to include developing, updating and distributing the overall Project Plan. Provide Post Implementation Support
