Design & Build Services for the renovation of the existing Bldg. 37 to accommodate a new laundry operation at the Port Isabel Detention Center (PIDC), Los Fresnos, TX Total The contractor shall complete all the work outlined in the Statement of Work and applicable attachments for Design, Pre-Construction and Construction. The project requires the design and renovation of the existing Bldg. 37 to accommodate a new laundry operation at the Port Isabel Detention Center (PIDC), Los Fresnos, TX. The work includes, but is not limited to, design, selective demolition of site and utility structure elements to accommodate the new laundry operation, building interior construction, finishes, interior and exterior painting, building systems, and commissioning. Such systems include, but are not limited to electrical power, lighting, special systems, fire suppression systems, heating, air-conditioning and ventilating systems, plumbing systems, and alarm systems. All exterior building systems and equipment surfaces exposed to exterior environments must have protective coatings. All coatings, interior and exterior, must provide protection from ISO Corrosivity Category 5 conditions, or equivalent. It is intended to provide long term durability to the surfaces and coatings in the local environmental conditions. Coating colors will match adjacent architectural aesthetics. Site improvements include utility line connections, pavements, and extensions of existing campus systems to serve the building. A new pedestrian access through existing security fence into an existing sally port is to be included. The conceptual building drawing presents a building design that meets the needs of the ICE program and is acceptable to the Government. This does not preclude the Contractor from making improvements to the design so long as such improvements are consistent with the requirements and are acceptable to the Government. The Contractor must provide a complete design. In completing the design, the Contractor will be allowed some latitude in manipulating the plans to improve functional layout, to accommodate structural, mechanical, electrical, and other systems, and to allow flexibility for design/esthetic expression. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
