Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Tallahassee, Florida. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Project Number:424009-4 The primary purpose of these projects is to increase the capacity of SR 363 (Woodville Highway) from SR 263 (US 319) Capital Circle Southeast to Gaile Avenue (Segment 4) by widening from 2 to 4 lanes and to improve traffic flow through the Four Points area from Gaile Avenue to Paul Russell Road with a loop configuration (Segment 5). These projects are needed in order to increase roadway capacity for people and goods traveling on Woodville Highway between southern Leon and Wakulla counties, and the City of Tallahassee. Improvements also include buffered bike lanes, re-alignment of the St. Marks Trail, sidewalk construction, widening of Ross Road and Tram Road, the extension of Tram Road, and the construction of 5 stormwater ponds and a closed storm sewer system. Segment 4 (SR 263 to Gaile Avenue) was funded for right-of-way acquisition beginning fiscal year 2018. Segment 5 (Gaile Avenue to Paul Russell Road) was funded for right-of-way acquisition beginning fiscal year 2019. Neither segment is funded for construction in the current FDOT Five-Year Work Program.
