The City of Marshall, Parks and Recreation Department is accepting sealed bids for the painting and blasting at the Marshall Aquatic Center for the following: Outdoor Pool Painting & Blast at the Marshall Aquatic Center (MAC) . Outdoor Pool Painting and Blast to bare concrete at the Marshall Aquatic Center, 1538 E Vest St., Marshall, MO 65340. Note* It is the sole responsibility of the vendor to see that his/her bid is received in proper time. No late bids will be considered. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Outdoor Pool Painting and Blast Bid." Include the date and time of the bid opening on the front of the envelope. Tnemec Series 161 Color Application Apply two coats of Tnemec Series 161 in the color WHITE-POOL for each of the following items: o Zero Depth Entry (approximate paintable surface area 5,000 Square feet) Skid resistant grit added o Lap Lane Area Pool (approximate paintable surface area 15,650 Square feet) o Diving Well Pool (approximate paintable surface area 2,500 Square feet) Including painting of the following with colors: o TRUE BLUE/SAFETY POOL: Pool decking around main pool and dive well (approximate paintable surface area 1,900 Square feet) Skid Resistant grit added o BLACK-POOL: Swimming lanes in main pool and around sides of dive well (Approximate paintable surface area 1,900 Square Feet) o Re-Stencil lettering/numbering around the pool B. Surface Preparation o Prepare and protect unpainted areas from sandblasting. o Removal all pool paint coatings by sandblasting back to bare concrete. o Clean up and properly dispose of all sandblasting waste and residue. o Surface should be clean, dry and free of contaminates. Patch and repair any areas where concrete has failed. o Re-caulk all expansion joints in pools with 3M 551 sealant or equivalent after the pools are painted. Rout cracks and voids and expansion joints and apply filler to the cracks and voids from Tnemec specifications and the expansion joints shall be recaulked with 3M 551 sealant or equivalent after the pools have been painted. Do not paint over the expansion joints. o Apply Tnemec Series 63-1500 filler or approved filler from the Tnemec Representative. o Apply one spot intermediate coat of Tnemec Series 66 or Series 161 (color) Hi-Build Epoxoline to all cracks and voids at 2.0 to 3.0 mils dry film thickness. o Apply finish coat of Tnemec Series 66 or Series 161 (color) Hi-Build Epoxoline at 3.0 to 5.0 mils dry film thickness. o Apply second coat of Tnemec Series 66 or Series 161 (color) Hi-Build Epoxoline at 3.0 to 5.0 mils dry film thickness. o Apply black colored Tnemec Series 66 or Series 161 Hi-Build Epoxoline for racing lines, safety lines, depth change markers, etc. Apply a non-slip grit to the black painted stair tread lines.
