This Opportunity is a conditional set-aside for Indigenous-owned businesses consistent with the City of Edmonton's Sustainable Procurement Policy C556C and its Indigenous Procurement Framework. The City may award the Contract to a bidder who is an Indigenous-owned business ahead of a bidder who is not Indigenous-owned businesses, provided the Indigenous-owned business bidder's bid is compliant and achieves the Minimum Score Required. The City may award to a non-Indigenous owned business if either no bids are received from Indigenous-owned businesses or if the bids from those businesses do not meet the Minimum Score Required. To be considered an Indigenous-owned business for the purposes of this Sourcing Event, a bidder must be: - registered with the Federal Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business (PSIB), the federal Indigenous business registry; - certified with the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) (Certified Indigenous Business categories); - certified with the Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association (NAABA) as an Aboriginal-owned business; or - a member of the Alberta Metis Works business registry. Bidders wishing to be considered Indigenous-owned businesses must provide with their bids evidence of their registration, certification or membership, as the case may be, with one of the above. The City of Edmonton (the "City") invites bidders to submit bids for this Sourcing Event for the provision of snow and ice removal services on a 3.8 km length of shared use pathway (SUP) along Lessard Drive, including sanding, and seasonal sweeping Services on walkways for the City on an if, as and when required basis. Intended term of Contract: The initial Term of the Contract will be 1 year, commencing November 1, 2025. In its sole discretion, the City may extend the Term on the same terms and conditions for up to 3 additional year(s). The length of any extension(s) will be at the City's sole discretion. It is the City's intention to enter into the Contract with only one bidder.
