Renovation of a swimming pool in Raton, New Mexico. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
The work shall generally consist of the replacement and upgrade of its exiting automated water chemistry and filtration control system at the municipal aquatic center, located at 100 Memorial Lane in Raton, New Mexico. The goal of this project is to implement a modern, integrated system that provides reliable and accurate water quality monitoring, automated chemical control, and programmable filtration functions for multiple aquatic vessels. The new system must improve operational reliability, enhance user accessibility, and ensure future compatibility with evolving technology. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. If you are an interested contractor and wish to be listed as a bidder, please notify our editorial staff at addtobidlist@constructconnect.com. Work shall be completed within 90 calendar days from project commencement. The work shall generally consist of the replacement and upgrade of its existing automated water chemistry and filtration control system at the municipal aquatic center. The existing control system has experienced a controller failure. While a direct replacement of the failed controller is possible, this option would retain legacy components and outdated software, requiring specialized programming and offering limited long-term support. The City's intent is to pursue a comprehensive system upgrade that improves operational efficiency, ensures future compatibility, and reduces maintenance risk. The new system must provide real-time, continuous monitoring and automated control of water chemistry for at least two aquatic vessels, including but not limited to parameters such as free chlorine (or equivalent disinfectant), pH, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), and temperature. The system must also support automated filter backwash control. All components--including controllers, sensors, interfaces, and software- must be included in the proposal to ensure complete system integration and uniform compatibility. The system must be capable of operating autonomously while allowing for secure, remote monitoring and configuration via a network connection. A local interface must be provided for on-site control, with clear status indicators and user-friendly navigation. The interface must support multiple user access levels with password protection. Alarm conditions must trigger visual and/or audible alerts on site, and also be capable of sending notifications via email or SMS. Data logging must include real-time and historical parameter tracking, with the ability to export operational and compliance data in standard formats such as CSV. The selected vendor shall be responsible for the removal of the failed controller and the complete installation of the new system, including sensors, wiring, enclosures, and any required ancillary equipment. The vendor shall perform system startup, calibration, and testing, and shall provide comprehensive training to facility staff on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. All equipment must be suitable for continuous use in a high-humidity, chemically active pool equipment room environment, and must integrate with existing chemical feed systems. All work must comply with applicable safety and operational standards for public aquatic facilities. The vendor shall provide documentation including product data sheets, operation manuals, system schematics, and as-built drawings. A minimum one-year warranty covering parts and labor is required, and vendors must provide information about available technical support services.
