Remodeling and renovation of a medical facility in Canadian, Texas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 2,219-square-foot medical facility; and for the renovation of a medical facility.

In general, the project consists of the interior remodeling and renovation of the new Rehabilitation and Therapy Services Wing, including associated architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades as specified in the contract documents in compliance with all local and state codes. Bids received after the closing time will be returned unopened. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the contract and execute the bonds on the forms provided and provide the required insurance certificates within ten (10) calendar days of written notification of the award of the Contract. Respondents shall restrict all contact with Owner and direct all questions, in writing, regarding this RFP, including questions regarding terms and conditions, to the Point-of-Contact person: Luke Raber, PE at 806.663.1988 Hemphill County Hospital District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a bid. The successful bidder, if any, will be the bidder offering the best value for Hemphill County Hospital District based on the published criteria provided in the bid documents and on its evaluation in accordance with Chapter 2269 of the Texas Government Code and Chapter 1039 of the Texas Special District Local Laws Code. In determining the best value for the District, the District will consider: (i) Respondent's Ability to Provide Construction Services; (ii) Respondent's Pricing and Delivery Proposal and Execution of Offer; (iii) Respondent's Project Planning and Scheduling; (iv) Qualifications of Construction Team; (v) Respondent's Past Performance on Representative Projects; (vi) Respondent's Quality Control and Commissioning Program; (vii) Respondent's Warranty and Service Support Program; and (vii) any relevant criteria specifically listed in the request for bids or proposals. The scope of this project is to remodel approximately 2219 sq ft of the Hemphill County Hospital. As a minimum guide the remodel will include but not be limited to the following: 1. Demolition of interior walls 2. Demolition of existing electrical outlets, switches and lights as needed 3. Demolition of restroom and exam room vanities and lavatories 4. Capping and filling of water lines and floor drains 5. Relocation of HVAC supply and return air grills as needed 6. Removal of carpet flooring 7. Removal by selective demolition of doors and frames 8. Installation of interior non load bearing framing and gyp board 9. Installation of sound batt insulation where needed 10. Tape, texture and paint 11. Installation of new ceilings 12. Installation of flooring 13. Installation of new light fixtures The end date for questions will be September 15, 2025.
