The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is soliciting submissions from Civil Engineering Firms to be prequalified to provide professional services on an "as-needed" basis for various site improvement and infrastructure projects. Typical assignments may include: Earthworks and grading Stormwater and site drainage systems Water servicing and sanitary systems Pavement design and rehabilitation Erosion control and environmental protection measures The intent is to select firms to provide services on a project-by-project basis, depending on the scope of work. A significant portion of the work will involve renewal projects to address aging site infrastructure and support capital improvements. Prequalified firms may also be engaged as sub-consultants on large, multi-disciplinary projects and will be expected to submit bids for those assignments when applicable. Firms interested in submitting a proposal must be qualified to provide professional civil engineering services in accordance with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) requirements and have a thorough working knowledge of: Municipal servicing standards and design guidelines, including City of Toronto criteria (Green Standard, Wet Weather Flow Management) Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MOECP) procedures, including Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) requirements and Procedure F-5-5 for combined sewer capacity Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) regulations and permitting processes Ontario Provincial Standards (OPS) for Roads and Public Works Applicable provisions of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) for site servicing and grading Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Ontario Water Resources Act, Environmental Protection Act, and Conservation Authorities Act Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standards relevant to civil engineering works Best practices for erosion and sediment control (including TRCA/Toronto guidelines) Responses will be considered only from firms with the capacity to perform work on tight timelines and with demonstrated expertise in the civil engineering scopes described. The Board will not conduct business with any supplier currently engaged in litigation against the Board. Term of contract will be a (3) three year term with options to extend for three (3) additional twelve month extension options. There may be an annual refresh at the discretion of the TDSB.
