The scope of work consists of renovating the former Department of Health Building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, along with the adjacent Annex Building to be the new administrative offices for the Department of Transportation Harbors Division, in addition to select electrical improvements at Pier 2. The work consists of archeological monitoring; abating hazardous materials; selective demolition of historic and existing building elements; replacement of roof, windows and doors; new plumbing, sewer, electrical, air-conditioning, and automatic fire sprinkler; historic terra cotta repair and cleaning; historic metal grille, gates, and fence repair and cleaning; historic aluminum repair and cleaning; new interior finishes including modular furniture and office environments; new photovoltaic system; back-up combustion generator; new electric vehicle infrastructure and supply; grading and drainage improvements in addition to new pavement surfaces; parking striping; and landscaping. To be eligible for award, bidders shall possess a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering A or General Building B , license at the time of bidding. The State reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any defects in said proposals in the best interest of the public.
