Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Jarrettsville, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
This project will replace the existing bridge on Old Pylesville Road over Jacks Hole stream. The current structure is a poor rated structure with both the deck and supestructure in poor condition. Replacement of the bridge will remove a poor rated bridge from the County inventory. As of Aug 25, 2025, this project is included in the County 2026-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
