The City of Yutan, Nebraska is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the installation of a new backup generator, associated switches, and all related wiring for the city water well located in Yutan Park. Project Scope: The project includes, but may not be limited to, the furnishing and installation of a new backup generator, transfer switches, and all associated electrical work to ensure the continued operation of city water well during power outages. Scope ofWork Bid Excludes This bid specifically excludes the following work, materials, and services: Pricing The total cost for the complete scope ofwork described above is: Total Bid Amount: 1. Providing and installing natural gas or propane fuel plumbing and equipment to the generator. 2. Providing temporary power to the well pump during the automatic transfer switch installation. [ ] proposes to furnish all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to install the specified electrical wiring and components as detailed below: 1. Concrete Pad: Install a 12' x 5' x 10" concrete pad on the south side ofthe well house, approximately 12' from the building, running parallel to the structure. 2. Generator: Install one (1) 277/480-volt, 150-amp, lOOkW generator with an integrated natural gas/LPV automatic changeover system. 3. Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS): Install one (1) 277/480-volt, 150-amp, service-rated automatic transfer switch. The ATS will be mounted on the exterior ofthe building, adjacent to the existing electrical meter. 4. Feeder Wiring (Meter to ATS): Run a 6' length of277/480-volt, 20-amp feeder wire from the existing electrical meter to the new service-rated automatic transfer switch. 5. Underground Feeder (Generator to ATS): Install a 40' underground feeder, 277/480- volt, 150-amp, from the new generator to the automatic transfer switch. 6. Feeder Wiring (ATS to Disconnect): Run a 6' length of277/480-volt, 150-amp feeder from the automatic transfer switch to the existing disconnect switch located inside the well house. 7. Control Wiring: Install 40' of control wires from the generator to the transfer switch, routed through al" underground conduit. 8. Engine Circuits: Install two (2) 120-volt, 20-amp circuits from the existing panel inside the well house to the generator for the engine oil heater or battery charger. 9. Factory Start-up: Coordinate and perform a factory start-up ofthe new generator system.
