Grant funds will be utilized for a portion of the costs, including any that are prior incurred, associated with Phases III and IV design, oversight, and construction of a municipal center at the Grantee owned property located at 150 N. Market Street in the Village of Chatham, Illinois. This new municipal center will house all the Grantees operations staff and Police Department and may also be used to house additional governmental services. Phase I of the project consisted of the land acquisition and was completed in January 2022. Phase II of the project consisted of the demolition and site preparation of all the parcels on the west side of the square and was completed in June 2023. Grant funds will be used to purchase and install concrete foundations, exterior brick, and concrete blocking.
