Site work and new construction of a civil project in Moosonee, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the construction of a 15,500-square-foot, one-story above grade water / sewer project.

Moose Cree First Nation (MCFN) is proceeding to construction with a new water treatment plant (WTP). The project also includes water and sewer piping upgrades on Hospital Drive and sewer upgrades on Centre Road. The general scope of work consists of: - Construction of a new 1,435 sq. m water treatment plant: - In-ground concrete reservoir with driven steel H-pile foundation - Steel frame building - Pumping systems - Installation of pre-selected treatment equipment including PLC and SCADA system - Genset and MCC - UV disinfection equipment - Chlorine gas room - Grading and driveways around the new WTP - Raw water intake system: - Raw water pumping station approximately 10 m below existing ground including shoring and dewatering - Directionally drilled 450 mm piping from the Raw Water Pumping Chamber into the Moose River - Installation of an intake protection structure and intake screen including driven steel H-piles into the Moose River and underwater cutting, connections etc. - Access road to the Raw Water Pumping Chamber - Installation of new pipe connections in existing WTP building to allow continued use of hospital and steam plant - Sewer and Water Works - Approximately 670 m of gravity sewer mainline piping including 6 manholes - Approximately 170 m of watermain piping, 5 valves and 1 fire hydrant - Sewer and water service piping - Pipe trench dewatering - 10,000 cubic metres imported fill from a borrow pit - Dewatering efforts are expected to be required for all below grade excavation.
