Renovation of a multi-residential development in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. (Public Contract Affirmative Action). Bidders who are partnerships or corporations must comply with the provisions of P.L. 1977, c.33 (Disclosure of Ownership). A bid deposit must be provided as a certified check or bid bond for an amount not less than ten (10) percent of the total bid price. Bid deposits will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders upon award of the contracts and to the successful bidder(s) upon execution of the contract and the meeting of bond requirements, if applicable. The winning bidder(s) will be required to provide evidence of the following insurance: 1. Workmen's Compensation and Employer's Liability Insurance - covering all of the contractor's employees directly or indirectly engaged in the performance of the contract. The insurance shall comply with the statutory requirements of the state or states involved and shall have an Employer's Liability Insurance limit of not less than $500,000. Comprehensive General Liability Insurance Including Contractor's Protective, Completed Operations and Contractual Liability Insurance - with minimum limits of not less than $500,000 any one person and $1,000,000 any one occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate for property damage. The property Damage Liability Endorsement as well as coverage for explosion, collapse and underground (XC) hazards. All liability coverage shall be on the occurrence basis. Comprehensive Automobile Liability Insurance - covering contractor for claims arising from all Owned, Hired, and Non-Owned vehicles with limits of not less than $500,000 any one person and $1,000,000 any one accident for bodily injury and $500,000 each accident for property damage. Contractual Liability Insurance - must be included in the Comprehensive General Liability Insurance described in #2 above. Policy Limits - specified above are minimum, and wherever the law requires higher limits shall govern. The Township of Upper Deerfield must be included as an "Also Insured Party" on the insurance certificates provided for the insurance described in #1 through #3 above. Event bid description : Completed bids must be returned to the Township Clerk Administrator at the Municipal Building, 1325 State Route 77, Seabrook, New Jersey 08302 at which time the bids will be opened. Bidders are required to provide a copy of their New Jersey Business Registration Certificate with their bid. Bidders must bid on all work items. Bidders who fail to bid on all work items will be rejected. Only one contract will be awarded. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities at its discretion. Financial assistance for this activity is made possible by a grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Small Cities Program.
