Construction of a transfer station ramp and associated site upgrades. 1 Work of this Contract comprises construction of a transfer station of approximately 1500 m2 area at the existing Waste Management Compound Site (Site), located Buffalo Point First Nation, Buffalo Point, Manitoba. 2 The Work is to be completed in accordance with these Specifications and all referenced background documentations. .3 The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: .1 Project start-up including mobilization to Site. 2 Safety Plan and Emergency Response plan. Development, implementation and maintenance of a site-specific Health and .3 Provision and maintenance of temporary facilities and controls .1 Temporary road construction & existing road maintenance 2 Temporary barriers, enclosures, and security management plan to allow for site operation during construction .4 Construction of Transfer Station, work includes .1 Top-surface stripping 2 Clearing and grubbing .3 Excavate and grading to proposed slopes and elevation 4 Subgrade compaction .5 Install non-woven geotextiles .6 Placement of granular base layers 7 Placement and compaction of surface gravel .8 Construction of concrete retention wall structure, pilasters, slabs and drainage .9 Placement of concrete parking stops at constructed station .10 Installation of traffic guardrails at the outer perimeter of the transfer station area .11 Installation of removable steel hand guardrail on the top of the retention wall .12 Vegetation on the side slope of the transfer station including topsoil placement, hydroseeding and placement of erosion control blanket or alternatively, installation of geotextile and rock for erosion control. .5 Upgrade on Site .1 Upgrade existing access road (at the entrance) 2 Installation of precast jersey barriers for traffic flow guidance .3 Installation of bollards for building protection 4 Installation of new signage 5 Install new gate and revise existing perimeter fence .6 Installation of permanent light posts and accompanying power system between the existing metal roof building to light post locations. .6 Site restoration. .7 Demobilization and closeout. 4 Mobilization and Demobilization to the site will be paid as a separate item. Mobilization and Demobilization to the site will be paid in accordance with Specification 01 25 20. The tender price for Mobilization and Demobilization is not to exceed 10% of the total bid price.
