Renovation of a water / sewer project in Richmond, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The City of Richmond, Virginia (the "City") seeks bids from qualified firms to provide general construction contracting services for the CSO Interim Plan - CSO Outfall 020 Improvements project (the "Project"). The required services include upgrading the existing underground regulator structure to add a motor operated control gate, associated site access improvements, site work, electrical, and instrumentation/controls (the "Work"). This Project, one of the ten Interim Plan projects, improves the existing CSO regulator structure to dynamically control the regulator to send flow to the Hampton-McCloy CSO Retention Tunnel. This upgrade allows the City to optimize the CSO's 7.2-million-gallon storage capacity, thereby reducing systemwide combined sewage overflow volume. The Contractor shall mobilize forces and commence work within fifteen (15) days from Notice to Proceed or as may be mutually agreed to at the pre-construction meeting.
