Site work and paving for a civil project in Caledonia, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

MnDOT requests letters of interest for professional, technical assistance to analyze, scope, develop the preferred conceptual geometric layouts, and prepare scoping reports, one for each of the two upcoming pavement projects in the Trunk Highway (TH) 44 corridor from Spring Grove to Hokah in Houston County. While these are two independent State Projects (SPs), they will be scoped concurrently as a single effort due to their close proximity, project similarities, overlapping timelines, and the benefit of evaluating the corridor holistically. SP 2804-39 spans from approximately 800 feet south of CSAH 12 in Caledonia to Butterfield Valley Road near Hokah. This project is identified as a medium bituminous mill and overlay. Among many issues within the project limits, there are eight (8) box culverts, many of which are approaching or exceeding 100 years of age, particularly concentrated between Reference Points (RPs) 60 and 62. The project is currently programmed for letting in Fiscal Year (FY) 2030, with a planned letting date of January 2030. SP 2803-35 spans from 2nd Avenue in Spring Grove to approximately 800 feet south of CSAH 12 in Caledonia. This project is also programmed as a medium bituminous mill and overlay, with approximately two blocks of urban reconstruction within the city of Spring Grove, from 2nd Avenue to 4th Avenue. This urban segment is being coordinated with planned city utility replacements.
