The dredge depth is -3.5 feet NAVD88 (-2.2 feet MLW). Channel width is 20 feet from Station 42+00 to Station 62+00. Dredging is required to remove sediment that has shoaled in due to Hurricane Milton, restricting navigation of small vessels along the Creek. Material shall be offloaded at the site adjacent to the New Pass bridge. The sediment shall be disposed of by the Contractor off-site. Excavation of the dredge site shall be by mechanical means. If the Contractor should be of the opinion that the meaning of any part of the RFB Document is unclear, obscure or contains errors or omissions, he/she should report such opinion to the Project Manager before the bid opening date. The project site is located on the West Coast of Florida. Temperatures below freezing are rare. The wet season in the project area is from May through October. The hurricane season is from June through November. Water levels in the project area are mainly affected by tidal fluctuations in the Gulf of Mexico.
