Site work for a water / sewer project in Garden City Park, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
A. The purpose of the project is to replace approximately 1,450 LF of existing 6 C.L.D.I. water main and appurtenances including new valves, fire hydrants, and water service connections along Bedford Avenue, Broadway and Rose Place. B. All work shown and specified in the Contract Documents shall be the work of this Construction Contract. The Owner does not anticipate awarding other prime contracts for the project as shown. C. This Section provides an abbreviated summary of the work for the Construction Contract associated with the Owner's program to construct the project. Water Main Replacement - Bedford Avenue, Broadway & Rose Place There will be no charge for registered plan holders to obtain hard copies of the bid addenda. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Garden City Park Water District, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Owner, is in the best interests of the Owner.
