Sealed RFP's are hereby requested by the Fleming County Public Library for renovations as described in the following RFP package. A. FLOORING DEMOLITION 1. Tile Removal a. Remove from Family Toilet, Rm. 114 2. Vinyl Tile Removal a. Remove from Children's Activity Room, Rm. 115 3. Remove existing carpet in designated areas (see flooring installation drawings) B. CARPENTRY AND PLUMBING DEMOLITION 1. Remove existing Cabinets in Children's Activity Room, Rm. 115 2. Remove sink and vanity in Family Toilet, Rm. 114 3. Remove toilet in Family Toilet, Rm. 114 C. GENERAL ARCHITECTURE 1. Steel Framing for partitions a. Provide steel framing members compliant with manufacturer's standard corrosionresistant protective coating. b. Gypsum wallboard to be regular 1/2 " thickness. 2. Contractor to frame and install new, full-lite, double doors into the Children's Activity Room, Rm. 115. Doors and hardware selection to be pre-approved by CSDW and by the library prior to ordering. 3. Contractor to frame and install solid door, opposite wall of existing door, into the Family Toilet, Rm. 114. Re-use existing door if possible. Wall of existing door to be closed and finished. If new door is required, door and hardware selection to be pre-approved by CSDW and by the library prior to ordering. 4. Contractor responsible for providing and installing new cabinets and countertop in Children's Activity Rm., Rm. 115 (see casework drawing). 5. Contractor responsible for all debris and trash to be removed daily and space to be swept clean. 2. Upon project completion entire facility to be cleaned and vacuumed including all work surfaces, windows, etc. The Library must be prepared for move-in condition. Children's Area (Rms. 117 & 118) Ensure existing power and data cabling remains functional and accessible upon completion of construction. Reconnect and test all existing floor boxes or wall outlets as needed. 2. Circulation Desk (Rm. 110) The entire circ desk is being relocated several feet back from its current position. Evaluate and reuse existing power and data cabling where feasible to serve the new desk location. Provide recommendations and cost for extending or rerouting any lines that cannot be reused. (Existing Room Number is 108. New Room Number is 110) 3. Main Stacks (Adult Library Rm 112) If freestanding power towers are used in this area, no additional cabling is required. Existing floor boxes or conduit access points must be secured with blank faceplates to close and cover unused access points. (Existing Room Number is 108. New Room Number is 112) 4. Adult Library (Rm. 112) Test Existing / Furnish six (6) total CAT6 data lines from existing floor access points to the library's main wiring closet. All lines must be tested, labeled, and terminated to patch panel and data jacks as needed. (Existing Room Number is 108. New Room Number is 112) 5. Young Adult Area (Rm. 107) Install new power and data outlets for a TV/Gaming center on the designated wall. Add new power and data service to the support pillar located near the Young Adult (YA) table (See drawing) Coordinate installation to ensure concealed or protected cabling where exposed installations are not permitted.
