The college is seeking a vendor who specializes in installing and maintaining living wall systems and extensive experience in this field, with a licensed engineer on staff as being beneficial, to undertake the revitalization of the Progress Campus 4-storey living wall (installed in 2012) located in the Ann Buller Learning Centre, which is now at its end of life and needs replacement with the same or similar system. This project includes safely taking down the existing Nedlaw living wall membrane and plant materials and disposing as required, followed by the installation of a new living wall system and plant material. Ensure proper function if watering system and tie in to the Building Automation System. The vendor also has to be equipped to provide monthly maintenance services to the living wall. We are seeking a vendor to: -Remove the existing membrane and plant materials. - Area must be tarped off and scaffolding erected. (If scaffolding not needed detail how membrane takedown and new membrane and plant install will be completed safely for vendor and college community). -Vendor must handle all disposal offsite, cannot use college waste and recycling bins. -Remove and dispose offsite, all existing molds and unwanted materials inside the mechanical duct in the "living wall" system. -Clean and remove any build up and mold that may be present, performing any necessary residual air testing as required. -Inspect systems to ensure proper continued operations. -Install new living wall system and plant material -Include in quote at least 15 species of plant material to make up the wall. -Can provide in a separate line-item suggested species count above 15 and the corresponding cost as an option. Can include in a separate line-item any additional recommended features not included in this RFP for consideration. -provide operational maintenance services quote for the 12 month period.
