Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Frankfort, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Franklin County Extension District Board is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the site preparation work assembly required for the construction of an educational greenhouse. The project includes pouring a concrete slab with a floor drain, assembling greenhouse structure to manufacturer's specification, extending water lines, installing a natural gas line for the heater, and setting up electrical circuits. The layout and specifications will be based on the design provided by the greenhouse manufacturer. o Concrete Slab: Pour a concrete slab measuring approximately 15 feet wide by 36 feet long, including a floor drain. Concrete shall follow ACI standards for cold weather and be rated for 4,000 psi with 4% air entrapment o Water Lines: Extend water lines to the greenhouse location. o Natural Gas Line: Install a natural gas line to supply the greenhouse heater, following the design specifications. o Electrical Circuits: Set up electrical circuits to support the greenhouse's climate control systems, lighting, and other electrical needs as outlined in the design. o The successful bidder shall be responsible for obtaining any and all permits necessary for completion of the project. o Warranty: Proposer shall provide a warranty on all workmanship and. All warranty information must be included in the bid proposals. o Work schedule shall be coordinated with the Franklin County Extension Office staff. A minimum of 7-days notice shall be given before construction begins. o Construction meetings will be held between Franklin County Extension Office staff and bidder before the beginning of construction, after the site preparation is completed, at the completion of the project, and any additional as need that arise during this project. o Bidder is responsible for all waste debris disposal for the project. o Bidder is responsible for arranging and coordination of off-loading of materials at the site. Any inquiries regarding this RFP should be addressed via email to Franklin Co Extension Service at Franklin.Ext@uky.edu Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, incomplete, unbalanced, or conditional Bids, to waive informalities, and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserves the right to negotiate with the apparent Low Bidder to such an extent as may be determined by Owner. Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid and bidders must make positive efforts to use small, minority, women owned and disadvantaged businesses.
