Renovation of an educational facility in Albany, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The main features of the work shall include, but are not limited to, the complete renovation of existing toilet rooms to meet ADA compliance. Work includes the removal and replacement of floor and wall finishes (ceramic tile), ceilings, doors, frames, hardware, toilet room accessories, plumbing fixtures, and electrical systems. All work shall be performed in accordance with Division 1 - General Requirements and all applicable ADA and building code standards. All work under this Contract shall be fully completed within 420 calendar days, commencing the date of approval by the New York State Comptroller. All work shall be accordance with construction drawings and specifications. Contractors must be able to secure a performance bond for the full amount of their bid and should be prepared to anticipate a value in excess of $1,400,000 for this project. Please note that this project is exempt from Wicks Law. The State University of New York at Albany project specific goals for this project are 18.9% MBE and 11.1% WBE and 6% SDV. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.
