The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Bidders must be properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes because the construction total spend will exceed $40,000 during the year. M/WBE subcontracting goals apply to this project; however, the contractor may self-perform 100% of the work. The purpose of this contract is to improvements to traffic signal loop detectors throughout the city. This is an "on-call" type contract with work released as determined by WSDOT. Technical questions concerning this bid should be submitted electronically to Darren Redfield at darrenmr@cityofws.org. End of Question period is 5:00 PM, September 3, 2025. The purpose of this conference is to summarize the scope of work involved and to explain the City's Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) goals and program related to this project. Staff will be present to answer questions. Primes and subcontractors are encouraged to attend.
