Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to: Strand Associates, Inc., Jamie Mills, jamie.mills@strand.com, phone: 614-835-0460 (ext. 5010) and to be given consideration, must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids Project Description: The Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Improvements for the Village of Rushville (Village) includes replacing the influent flow meter and two (2) surface aerators for the lagoons. These critical components have exceeded their design life and replacement will provide increased utility operation and maintenance. The two existing surface aerators are manufactured by Evoqua. The motors are sized at 3 horsepower, 1,800 rpm, 230/460-Volt, and 3-phase. Selected Contractor to purchase and procure replacement surface aerators for installation by Village. Replacement surface aerators should be of same size and power to existing surface aerators. Acceptable manufacturers are Evoqua Aqua-Lator Model 311-SS; or equal make and model. The existing influent flow metering system is a 4-inch magnetic flow meter, NEMA 4X transmitter, and surge protector, manufactured by ABB. The existing metering system is located within the onsite meter pit. Replacement metering equipment should include new 4-inch influent magnetic flow meter with remote NEMA 4X transmitter, surge protector, and digital recorder housed within an above grade NEMA 4X enclosure. Refer to attached site plan and flow meter specification. Contractor can mobilize any time after selection and notice to proceed occurs. Following the notice to proceed, the project should reach substantial completion within 150 days and reach final completion within 180 days. The existing meter pit bypass can be utilized for replacement of influent flow meter. Locations of two surface aerators and meter pit are shown in WWTP aerial, along with electrical notes and details.
