Construction of one (1) 45ft by 90ft and six (6) 30ft by 90ft RV shade structures at Goodfellow AFB, Texas . RV Storage shall be performed in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor is responsible for all aspects of design and construction. This acquisition is full and open competition and is classified under NAICS code 238120 - Structural Steel and Precast Concrete Contractors. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This is a non-appropriated fund (NAF) purchase and does not involve federal tax dollars. Contractors must acknowledge any solicitation amendments and submit quotes electronically by the specified deadline. A site visit is scheduled, and base access letters must be submitted in advance. The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 150 calendar days. General: The work to be performed under this contract and in accordance with this Statement of Work (SOW) shall consist of furnishing all necessary plant, labor, tools, transportation, supplies, supervision, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary for providing all work shown on the drawings (See TE-1) and in this Statement of Work (SOW), and all applicable codes, regulations, standards, and criteria in effect at the date of solicitation. This work shall consist of the following project description: Construct 1 (45'X90') and 6 (30'X90') RV shade structures at Goodfellow AFB RV Storage. Shade structures shall be constructed as specified in TE-2 GAFB Drawings. Framing shall be welded on all joints and shall be primed. Shade structures shall be constructed of steel framing as specified in TE-2 GAFB Drawings. Steel framing shall be welded and/or bolted on all joints. Steel frames shall be medium bronze color or approved equal. Structure design shall be approved and stamped by a licensed professional engineer. Design shall be submitted for Government Approval. TE-2 GAFB Drawings is for reference only. Each 45' X 90' structure shall have minimum 4ft deep concrete footings for each of the (45'X90') 12 columns as shown in TE-2. Steel columns shall be bolted to concrete footings utilizing 5/8" grade 5 galvanized J-bolts, eight (8) inches in length minimum, embedded in the concrete with two (2) inches of exposed threads. Each footer shall include a size 3 rebar cage consisting of four 40-inch vertical bars with three 6-inch square horizontal rebar braces evenly spaced and placed 45 degrees on the vertical axis in relation to the Jbolts. Each 30' X 90' structure shall have minimum 4ft deep concrete footings for each of the (30'X90') 8 columns. Steel columns shall be bolted to concrete footings utilizing 5/8" grade 5 galvanized J-bolts, eight (8) inches in length minimum, embedded in the concrete with two (2) inches of exposed threads. Each footer shall include a size 3 rebar cage consisting of four 40-inch vertical bars with three 6-inch square horizontal rebar braces evenly spaced and placed 45 degrees on the vertical axis in relation to the J-bolts. Structures shall have metal decking over frame and overhang that shall be mechanically attached (i.e. screwed to framing). Roof decking shall be 26ga R-panel of primed approved color. Location: Goodfellow AFB is in Tom Green County, on the southeast side of San Angelo, Texas and is bounded to the north by Highway #388 (Paint Rock Rd.), to the west by Fort McKavitt Rd and Bell Street/Christoval Road, to the south-by-South Chadbourne St (Hwy. 1223) and to the east by the eastern city limits.
