Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Project, as more specifically described in specifications. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the specifications, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the County. THE QUESTION SUBMISSION DEADLINE DATE IS HEREBY CHANGED TO OCTOBER 7, 2025 No later than: 4:00 pm RESPONSE DEADLINE: October 9, 2025, 2:00 pm Direct pre-bid questions to the Project Manager, Gabriel Flores, via online. Pre-bid questions must be submitted in writing no later. Questions received after that time will not be answered. Responses will be by addenda to the bid documents. Each bid must be submitted on the bid forms provided in the Contract Documents; however, if none are provided, the surety may issue on its own paper. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond issued by a corporate surety, a certified check or cashier's check payable to the Treasurer of Sacramento County, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate sum of the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a material and labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the County of Sacramento, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. There is no pre-bid meeting for this project. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to determine which bid, in their judgment, is the lowest responsive bid of a responsible Bidder. ORDER OF WORK When required by these Special Provisions or Plans, the Contractor shall follow the sequence of operations as set forth therein. Liquidated damages, as set forth elsewhere in these special provisions, shall be assessed if the working days are exceeded. No work may take place prior to receipt of the executed Contract and review of the prescribed bonds and insurance. Contractor's attention is directed to Section 12, "Safety, Public Convenience, and Traffic Control," of the Standard Construction Specifications and these Special Provisions. Any Special Signs(S1) that are required for detour or maintaining traffic shall be placed a minimum of 10 days in advance of the project start. The first order of work shall be the following: o Prepare and submit a Storm Water Pollution Control Plan as required in Section 10. o Submit to the County in writing the names, qualifications, business address, and contact information for one or more Designated Biologists to comply with mitigation measures and permit conditions contained within these special provisions. o Prepare and submit Baseline Schedule o Prepare and submit Traffic Control Plans o Ordering signal poles and equipment, drainage materials, including pipe, inlets, and manholes, water supply materials, including pipe and fittings, sewer materials, including pipe, fittings, and manholes, fence materials, and equipment that is not furnished by the County. The Engineer shall be furnished a statement from the vendor that the orders for equipment/materials have been received and accepted by the vendor. o Pothole to verify storm drainage, sewer, water, traffic signal components. The Contractor's attention is directed to Section 6-11, "Existing Utilities," of these Special Provisions The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental work for: clearing & grubbing, pavement grinding, pavement removal, roadway excavation, aggregate base, asphalt pavement, slurry seal, traffic striping, construction of curb, gutter, and sidewalk, sidewalk curb ramps, installation of drainage facilities, waterline, and sanitary sewer, traffic signal installation, roadway signage, and doing all other work specified on the plans and in the specifications.
